LaQwonna is a servant at heart and a willing vessel of the Lord. She has a big heart, that is able to see the good in others, even when they are having a hard time seeing who God has made them to be. She is faithful in who God has called her to be and very diligent in her call. God has given her the ability to listen to the heart of the person that is speaking to her. She is able to pin point the root of others pain, massaging them to a place of being released from their hurt. She is very focused and driven to helping others work towards their destination.
LaQwonna, puts God first in her life then her family and friends. She is a wife to the Promise that God brought to her. Her husband, Travis supports her and through his prayers keeps her covered. With God first, they keep one another balanced. Her and her husband have a blended family of 5 wonderful children, 2 girls and 3 boys. They range from the age of 23 to 2. She enjoys engaging and nurturing the relationships with her children. She and Travis believe in “The Village”, because it takes a village to raise children. They believe that their children can learn from them as well as others to help them grow and to be able to engage with society and different culture of people.
The Lord lead LaQwonna to start Sisters Of Faith when she realized that there was a need for a sisterhood that our women were lacking. Women endure a lot of things and at times they internalize what they are going through because they have no one to talk to. With no focus on denomination and with the nurturing spirit that LaQwonna has, she started Sisters Of Faith. LaQwonna has experienced many things in her life that the Lord showed her would help other women on their journey. She is very committed to helping women grow and be the best woman that God created them to be. She does not look at the measure of responsibility that God has given her, she sees a need and do as God calls her to do.
LaQwonna is a firm believer in Colossians 2:6-7, As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
“Sometimes we go through things in life and we stray and God has lead me to help inspire other women to stay focused on Christ. When times get hard, know that Christ is there. You must continue your walk in Christ, even in those valley moments. Don’t allow your roots to be shaken loose and know who fights your battles for you. When you know that God is taking care of you, you have nothing to worry about and your faith will not waiver. Be thankful even through the trials. God has perfectly built you and He makes no mistakes.” -LaQwonna
